PRIVACY POLICY
I. INTRODUCTION
The City Government of Pasig respects your individual privacy and protects any personal information that you share with us. We commit to secure the individual’s right to privacy and ensure the trustworthiness of processing of the individual’s personal information. The City Government of Pasig strives to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 that is designed to protect your privacy. We intend to adhere to the principles set forth in this Privacy Statement and recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personal information. Our goal is to provide protection for your privacy regardless of what types of devices or application is used to access our Services. By using our Services, you consent to the collection, storage, processing, transferring, disclosure, and other usage of the Information described in this Privacy Statement and Terms of Service Agreement.
II. PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED
The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) collects applicants' personal information such as but not limited to the following: full name, birthdate, age, address, sex, civil status, height, weight, religion, contact number, e-mail address, educational background, employment history, Taxpayer's Identification Number (TIN).
III. BASIS OF COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) collects personal information from applicants in compliance with regulations concerning recruitment, selection, and other processes, as outlined in the guidelines of the respective programs. This information is utilized to assess applicants' qualifications and their suitability for the positions they apply for.
IV. PURPOSES OF COLLECTED DATA
You consent that your collected Personal Information may be used:
- To help improve our data and services and customize user experience;
- To participate in and facilitate transactions;
- To engage in data mining and build up activities;
- To deliver the products and services that you have requested;
- To perform research and analysis about your use of or interest in our services;
- To communicate relevant services, ads and/or advisories through whichever means are available to the City Government of Pasig in keeping with the purpose of the collection and in a manner that is not intrusive;
- To provide better customer experience to the City Government clients and improve, develop, identify and implement services;
- To follow safety, security, public service or legal requirements and processes;
- To process information for statistical, analytical, and research purposes;
- To identify and prevent errors and inefficiencies due to misuse of the platform;
- To enforce our terms and conditions;
V. DATA PROTECTION AND SECURITY - POSSIBLE RISKS AND MEASURES TO ADDRESS THE SAME
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

VI. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
We may share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Statement:
- We may provide your information to third parties who perform functions on our behalf.
- Third party contractors may have access to our databases. These contractors sign a standard confidentiality agreement and data sharing agreement.
- We may share information as required by law enforcement, government officials, or other third parties pursuant to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process or requirement applicable to the City Government of Pasig.
- We may transfer personal information to third parties for any legally permissible purpose at our sole discretion.
- We may share your information with third parties with your consent or direction to do so.
VII. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT
Chapter IV Section 16 of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 enumerates the rights of the data subject:
- Right to be informed whether his/her personal data is being processed or was processed and entered into a processing system including its purpose, basis, scope and method and to whom the personal information is to disclosed.
- Right to object to the processing of his/her personal information unless such is required to comply with a subpoena or legal obligation or in relation to a contract or service which the data subject is a party.
- Right to reasonable access to his/her personal information upon demand.
- Right to dispute the error or inaccuracy in his/her personal data and to have the records rectified upon request.
- Right to suspend, withdraw or the order the blocking, removal or destruction of his/her personal data from the filing system of the personal information controller if:
- The personal data is incomplete, false, outdated or unlawfully obtained,
- The personal data is being used for a purpose not authorized by the data subject,
- The personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected,
- The data subject has withdrawn consents or objects to the processing of personal information,
- The personal data contains information prejudicial to the data subject,
- The processing is unlawful,
- The personal information controller or personal information processor violated the rights of the data subject.
- Right to damages or to be indemnified for any damages sustained due to inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained or unauthorized use of his/her personal data.
- Right to obtain from the personal information controller a copy of his personal data in an electronic or structured format commonly used and allows for further use by the data subject.

VIII. Amendments to Privacy Policy
City Government of Pasig reserves the right to modify this policy from time to time and as the need arises. Any such amendments to this policy shall be communicated through our Hanapbuhay at Impormasyon Para sa Responsableng Empleyo ng Pasig (H.I.R.E. Pasig) at https://hire.pasigcity.gov.ph.
IX. Repealing Clause
All other policies found unenforceable or invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, shall not in any manner affect the validity of the other provisions contained herein and shall remain in force and effect.
